      How to play

      1. Read the board. It’s real, photographed at 08:00 local time at a mystery airport. Every flight on it is leaving from there.
      2. Fill in FROM. Five guesses. Each miss costs 1,500 points, draws a ring on the route map showing how far away you are, and opens the next notice.
      3. Read the notices. Eight in all, from vague to specific. Open the next one early for 500 points.
      4. Board. You start with 10,000. Whatever is left when you name the airport is your score.
      About

      About the board

      Is this real flight data?
Yes. Every flight was picked up by volunteer radio receivers on the OpenSky Network, then set as a board. Departure times are estimated from takeoff, and some flight numbers are stand-ins when an airline’s radio callsign doesn’t match its public number.
      Is the board live?
Not quite. Each board is from two days earlier, so every flight on it has really left and players everywhere, in every time zone, get the same complete board at their midnight.
      Why is a flight missing?
Receiver coverage varies around the world. Flights without a known destination are left off.
      When is the next board?
      Midnight, your local time.
